Take A Number

Using Take A Number

Your place in line

Take A Number is operated by ALH Ventures, Co, doing business as Olsen Brands Management. A ticket holds a place in a participating business's line or tracks an order. Wait estimates are approximate. Return within the window shown when called. A missed window can move your ticket back, release it, or mark an order unclaimed according to the business's visible settings. Businesses remain responsible for their products and service.

Queue texts

Joining online requires the separate unchecked queue-text consent box. Ask staff if you cannot receive texts; staff can add a name-only guest. Your private status page continues to work if you later opt out or delivery is paused. Up to 22 automated messages per ticket may be sent, depending on settings and queue activity. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop texts across Take A Number, or HELP for help. STOP keeps your place in line; use your status page to leave the line. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Business subscriptions and trial

The platform is $10 per month or $99 per year. Each company includes 5 lines, 20 team accounts and TV boards. Text funding is separate. A card is required for the 14-day trial. Your selected subscription renews automatically after the trial and at each billing period unless you cancel.

Cancel in Billing before the trial ends to avoid the first subscription charge. Later cancellation takes effect at the end of the current term, with access continuing until then. Monthly and yearly billing changes take effect at renewal; they do not shorten the trial or create an immediate prorated charge.

Prepaid text funds

Buy $10 to $100 in text credits during signup, with $20 recommended, and add more in Billing. Texts remain subject to carrier approval. Message counts are estimates, not fixed quantities. Optional auto-charge starts unchecked: choose a separate $10 to $100 amount, starting at $20. If enabled, that amount is charged to your saved card whenever the available balance falls below about 50 messages. Estimates use recent settled text costs or an initial $0.04-per-message estimate. Turn auto-charge off in Billing to stop future automatic purchases; a payment already processing may still complete. If auto-charge is off or fails, texts pause when funds run out until you add funds. Each outbound text is priced at Sent.dm's actual message and attributable contact charges plus $0.01. Costs can vary by recipient and provider charges, so a dollar balance does not promise a fixed number of texts.

Before attempting a text, the app reserves up to $0.10 from the available balance. It settles the actual charge when the provider reports the outcome and costs, then releases unused reserved funds. Missing costs remain pending. Failed, blocked, filtered or cancelled deliveries cost the company nothing. The platform covers any charge above the reservation; it does not create customer debt. Automatic purchases follow your separate auto-charge settings above. Provider-generated HELP and opt-out responses are not charged to the company.

If the available balance cannot cover a reservation, texts pause and guests continue using their private status pages. Text funds are non-refundable. When the subscription ends, unused funds are forfeited. Scheduling cancellation does not forfeit funds before service ends.

Team access and responsible use

Owners manage billing and company access. Invite each employee with their own account and give them the permissions and lines they need. Protect account passwords, counter access and private guest links. Use the service only for legitimate queue and order updates with the guest's consent. Do not use queue texts for spam or promotions.

Availability

Text delivery depends on provider approval, available funds, consent and carrier availability. A working queue does not guarantee that texting is available. Network or service interruptions can delay updates; guests should check their status page or speak with the business if a notification does not arrive.

Deleting a business

An Owner can permanently delete the business from Settings by confirming its name. This ends its subscription and removes its lines, guest records, mailing list, logos and company access. Unused text funds are forfeited without a refund. Deletion is different from scheduling a subscription cancellation.
